Our 3 day visit with African Retreat to Ol Pejeta Conservancy was honestly such an unforgettable experience. (As a group of 6) At one point, our guide suddenly got word that the lions had moved to a different spot — and you could feel the excitement straight away. He quickly (but safely!) rushed us over, determined not to let us miss it. And we’re so glad he did because we got to see a beautiful lion family along the trail and near the trees, including the small cubs. We were so close to them and we saw the cubs playing and sticking near the pride, felt unreal. It was one of those moments you just stop and take in. We also saw giraffes moving so gracefully through the open plains and elephants calmly walking together. Every drive felt like something new was waiting around the corner. It wasn’t just about ticking animals off a list — it felt natural, exciting, and wholesome. From the lions and their cubs to the gentle giants roaming freely, the whole experience was unforgettable and truly special. The team also made sure we experienced nature with them as a family.
